  • Coaching is a powerful tool that helps individuals discover strengths, gain clarity and focus, eliminate limiting beliefs, develop skills, and build resiliency. It supports a person at every level in becoming who they want to be; it builds awareness, empowers choice, and leads to positive change.

    As your coach, I partner with you in an evidenced-based thought-provoking and creative process that focuses on the 'here and now' rather than on the distant past or future and inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential.

  • It’s normal to feel both excitement and trepidation when deciding to work with a coach. While you may be aware that you need to make changes — in behavior, mindset, or both — to advance, you won’t reap the benefits of coaching unless you’re prepared to fully engage in the process.

    Don’t expect a quick fix! Successful coaching requires you to be proactive in embracing new ways of perceiving and acting. In doing so, you will likely experience fear or emotional blocks about new realizations and realities. You must be able to endure these periods of discomfort to realize the rewards of taking new and different approaches.

    Do the work! You will have to be ready to experiment. You must try out new ideas and actions, fail, learn, and try again. As your coach we will support you in your journey, but your chances of success increase when you engage with other potential supporters, throughout the coaching process. Share your goals, listen with curiosity to the feedback you receive.

  • There is no set timeline. While there is anecdotal evidence that even a single session can produce a significant mind shift, coaching relationships tend to be most effective when they last six to twelve months.

  • Coaches and therapists both work on creating long-lasting behavior changes, the difference between them is in the “how”. Often therapy is about uncovering and recovering, while coaching is about discovering. Counseling or therapy generally focuses on healing or solving issues and trauma from a person's past, while coaching focuses on the present and future.

  • As an ICF-credentialed coach we have a duty to uphold confidentiality: to not divulge any information received in the process of the coaching. There are exceptions pertaining to potential harm to self or others, which are spelled out in our coaching agreement which is signed prior to the first session.

  • All our clients will sign a coaching agreement prior to their first session. This document outlines the terms and expectations of a coaching relationship. It helps you and your coach to clarify your goals, roles, responsibilities, boundaries, and methods of communication. As an ICF-credentialed coach we are required to provide clear expectations and inform you of all your rights as a client.

  • The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the leading global organization for coaches and coaching. ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals.

    ICF Credentials are awarded to professional coaches who have met stringent education and experience requirements and have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the coaching profession by passing the credentialing exams. Additionally, all ICF members are bound by its “Code of Ethics”, creating appropriate guidelines, accountability, and enforceable standards of conduct.

  • We allow clients to terminate the coaching relationship at any time because it is congruent with our underlying coaching philosophy that our clients know what is best for them. The coaching agreement will spell out the terms, but the bottom-line is always “do what is right for our client”.
